New Journey to The West: Season 8, which premiered on Oct. 9 at 9:10 p.m. KST, marked a spectacular prelude. According to Nielsen Korea, the showŌĆÖs first episode recorded an average of 5.3% ratings and soared up to 6.2% nationwide. The ratings of 2049, the key index of competitiveness, averaged 4.9% and 5.6% viewership across the country, and ranked first in the same time slot for all channels. The show began with a heated conversation among all seven members, Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Song Min Ho, Kyuhyun, and Pyo Ji Hoon. The perfect ŌĆ£tiki-takaŌĆØ between them as they switched topics from being tardy and hidden cameras to membersŌĆÖ recent updates gave a big laugh. The new games introduced also drew keen attention. Over the past 7 seasons, New Journey to The West has always presented new games, starting a new meme everywhere.
