Screenings are set for April 29th at CGV L.A. and Buena Park, and the two-hour-and-57-minute film will be shown in Korean with English subtitles. The cast includes K-Pop star Super JuniorŌĆÖs Kyuhyun, soprano Sunhae Im, and dancer Joowon Kim, and was filmed by Wys en Scene at the Charlotte Theater in South Korea. Phantom takes place in late-nineteenth-century Paris, where Erik, a musical genius cursed with a monster face, resides in the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera House. He is determined to make Christine Daa├® the new diva after hearing her heavenly voice. Carlotta, the opera houseŌĆÖs resident diva, is envious and devises a scheme to destroy ChristineŌĆÖs debut. Erik is outraged and takes his vengeance on her, triggering a chain of events that leads to the revelation of his past and his tragic fate.

Yeston and Kopit previously worked together on the Tony Award-winning musical Nine. In 1991, their Phantom premiered at HoustonŌĆÖs Theatre Under the Stars. The score is preserved in a cast album. The Phantom of the Opera, by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is still running at the Majestic and is now BroadwayŌĆÖs longest-running production. Source (1)
