In the recent episode of tvNŌĆÖs You Quiz On The Block, which aired on Oct. 7, Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho met with ŌĆ£gold handsŌĆØ in various fields. Solbi, who is already entering her 10th year as a painter, recently moved into an atelier, where famous Korean artists belong, and made headlines when she sold her piece for 9.2 million KRW (about 8,000 USD), the highest bidding in an online auction held at the atelier. To the question of how people first reacted when she started her new career, Solbi said, ŌĆ£No one believed me. They would ask me why I am choosing this path when I can just live as a celebrity. If I go to a meeting, art majors would say things like, ŌĆśWhy are you painting? People who majored in art will never welcome youŌĆÖ or ŌĆśDo you really think youŌĆÖre good at it?ŌĆÖ to my face.ŌĆØ She then continued, ŌĆ£That made me want to try even more. I just wanted to butted heads with them,ŌĆØ and mentioned her body painting performance on KBSŌĆÖs Music Bank in 2017. Recalling the time, she said, ŌĆ£At the time, the reactions were very mixed.
